So when she recently began the most special and sacred journey of her life, she knew exactly where to celebrate it! After tying the knot with a man who shared her passion for traveling, she booked herself and her better half a 3 nights 4 days Maldives honeymoon package, and soon, they were flying away on their most memorable holiday!

To travel is to find oneself. I travel to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate myself. It helps me start my life afresh every time, which otherwise tends to be monotony.

I am a 26 years old working lady with an insatiable love for traveling. I tied the knot with the person whom I have been dating for quite long and we both seem to share the same interest, that is, the love for traveling and visiting new places. We both want to travel the world before we both turn 40 and he has already made it to 15 countries without me! This trip to Maldives was our first trip together just two days after our marriage and we decided to make the most of this trip together.

Picking a location was actually a tough decision for us. We discussed it a lot. My husband wanted a Europe tour but I had leave issues and wanted a short but an adventurous trip. And finally, owing to our love for beaches, we decided on Maldives.

As I googled to find a suitable package, I came across TravelTriangle. The website seemed to attract me a lot. I read a few travel stories featured on TT’s blog and I was drawn to it even more. We had already decided on our location – Maldives – so I started requesting quotations for the same and finalized on Timeless Trips Private Limited for all that they promised to provide in our specified budget.

DAY 1: Exploring the gorgeous resort and the nightlife of Maldives

We reached our dream destination Maldives by evening as we had boarded an afternoon flight from Bangalore. The picturesque aerial view of Maldives had already left me spellbound from my flight window. On reaching Maldives, a speedboat was waiting to take us to our Island Hudhuranfushi. The speedboat ride to the resort gave us an adrenaline rush like never before! Racing with the waves was so scary and exciting at the same time.

Soon we reached our Resort – Adaaran. We can’t thank TravelTriangle enough for booking such an awesome stay for us. The Adaaran Resort in Hudhuranfushi was a beautiful one with all the amenities. After a hearty welcome in the resort and post completing the formalities, we were taken to our beach villa.

The villa was a beautiful one with some unique interiors. It provided all facilities for a comfortable stay. The best part of the villa was the hammock in the ocean just a few meters away. It was already dark by the time we reached and there was a light drizzle so we could not head to the beach.

After freshening up in the room we went to the poolside bar hall to enjoy Maldives’ splendid nightlife there. The nightlife of Maldives is very lively and fun! There were local dance performances, extension buffet dinner, savoury drinks, a poolside party, live music, and a lot more to lose oneself over! We both had a fantastic evening and enjoyed thoroughly.

DAY 2: Jet skiing, canoeing, and snorkeling after a beautiful sunrise

sushmita maldives honeymoon: with hubby

The second day of our honeymoon trip to Maldives was quite adventurous. We woke up early, at the break of dawn, and headed straight to the beach with full preparations. After witnessing the best sunrise of our lifetime, we started exploring every nook and corner of the resort. At breakfast time, a wide buffet was provided and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Then we proceeded for our adventure activities.

It was a thrilling experience to ride a jet ski all by ourselves. The jet ski made serpentine moves, taming the motion of the waves. It was so much fun! Next was canoeing. We hired a canoe for ourselves and started sailing in the shallow part of the beach. We saw tiny fish, dead corals, n the mesmerizing white sands under the water. Needless to say, we were tanned beyond imagination!

The next activity was the best of all – snorkeling, and I still get Goosebumps imagining the scenario! I was so afraid at first while advancing to the location in the water where we were to snorkel. But then, witnessing myriad types and colours of fish, turtles, and corals turned out to an experience of a lifetime. Looking at marine life from such a close proximity was a divine feeling.

After a fun session of watersports in Maldives, it was time to head to our villa for a refreshing shower and stunning views of the sunset. After the shower, my hubby made some coffee for us and we simply relaxed in our room sipping on the hot beverage. Later, we dressed and went to a smashing party which was followed by a lovely dinner and a relaxing sleep.

We had a delish breakfast and headed to the beach again. We remained under the water for a long time and then relaxed on the hammock. By noon, it was time to shift to the ocean villa – the best part of our romantic Maldives trip!

sushmita maldives honeymoon: husband at ocean villa

TravelTriangle had surely booked an awesome villa for us whose beauty we can’t put down in words. The villa was surrounded by the ocean on all sides and had a small wooden bridge connecting us to the mainland. The room allocated to us was a beautiful one with wonderful honeymoon decorations like flowers on the bed, a fruit basket, complimentary champagne, and more. We were elated!

The bathroom door lead us straight to the ocean. It will always be the best memory of our honeymoon! The evenings were relaxing as we simply sat in the lounge overlooking the ocean and admired the beauty of dusk over the Maldivian seas.

That evening we dined in an ocean floating restaurant. And to our surprise, we had a table booking that day with a cake and flower decorations in the dining arena itself! It was truly an amazing surprise. Enjoying the views of the ocean in the evening was altogether a different experience. We could hear the ocean gurgling at night and had some big fish visit us, including baby sharks!

DAY 4: Sayonara Maldives!

We packed and checked out of our resort with a heavy heart as we were in no mood to leave behind this mesmerising place. The speedboat transferred us to the airport. We boarded our flight home with a basket of beautiful memories and a promise to visit again someday.

Travel Made Easy! You Can Now Swipe & Book Homes On The Go At $1

Imagine being able to swipe holiday homes left and right on your smartphone in mere $1! If it makes the travel bug in you drool, then do we have a great news for you!

Recently launched, Holiday Swap is an app that aims to allow people to swap homes with other people when they travel. Those who have already used it are starting to call it Tinder. But unlike Tinder, Holiday Swap works on a global rather than local scale, enabling you to see properties in the over 40 countries across the 6 continents that this app presently covers.

The app is easy to use, much like Tinder itself!

  • First, filter your app settings for things like ‘good atmosphere’, ‘crowd’, etc
  • Once you’ve “matched” with someone, you’ll get a notification and a “pin” will be added to your map
  • Then you can chat with the user and see their availability calendar

How The Holiday Swap Concept Works

The cool part is, you only have to pay only $1 (INR 65) per bed a night to swap through the app. In addition, the user can request a fully refundable deposit if it makes them more comfortable.

This means that while swapping, you can protect against the user canceling on you or against damage since all of this is covered by home insurance. You can deposit the fee into a third party account and have it returned to yourself when the process is complete.

There are also pretty cool properties available on the app already. Moreover, Holiday Swap is now available on both iOS and Android and many users have already started swapping!

Something like this can surely become a fully integrated travel tool that reduces the cost of travel. It can also act as a social media travel tool, which gives tourists new experiences by taking out one of the biggest costs of travel.

It’s also a great way to connect with people in different corners of the world. Travelers don’t always have to swap. If you’ve matched with someone in Toronto, it means you now have a friend there! How cool is that!

James Asquith founded holiday swap

More than swapping, it’s an excellent tool to actually travel. It will compel people to actually go and experience a new place once they’ve found a property there! It is the best way to really open up travel to more and more people and places.

The app was founded by 29-year-old James Asquith. A London banker by profession, Asquith is the youngest man to travel to every country in the world by the age of 24! Rather than making money, his primary aim behind creating the app was merely to bring people closer and to make the world accessible by all. Currently, he plans on coming up with more tools and tech to help achieve that!

Sounds cool, doesn’t it? Got any more ideas on how to bring travel to everyone and make it economical? Let us know in the comments below. Till then, Happy Swapping!

Kazakhstan Allows A 72-hour Transit Visa To Indians Extending A Warm Welcome

More good news pouring in for travelers who want to be everywhere on the globe. Kazakhstan government has extended an exclusive offer for Indians who are traveling via Kazakhstan to anywhere (Europe most probably). So the deal is if an Indian plans a transit journey through Kazakhstan on Air Astana – the national career, they get a 3-day transit visa exclusively.72 hours is all you have if you want to cover the best of Kazakhstan! The transit visa to Kazakhstan would be applicable only if the destined stopover is in Astana or Almaty.

A holder of Indian passport planning to travel as an individual or in a group can avail this offer which will remain valid up to December 31st, 2018. Having said that, we would want you to know that Kazakhstan makes for an excellent attraction in central Asia. The culture-rich country brims excellent work of art and architecture from the Soviet times. Kazakhstan is bordered by the Caspian Sea to its east, while it shares the boundary with Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

A monument in Kazakhstan

The good news is, Astana, and Almaty are Kazakhstan’s top two cities that present an array of amazing architecture from the post-medieval era. It was the period when the country’s art was in its prime. If Astana is an upscale city with lofty tech parks and IT firms, Almaty is known for its clobbered streets buzzing with ancient charm. It also happens to be the commercial hub of the country which has gained plenty of tourist attraction in recent times.

While 3 days aren’t good enough to explore the top cities entirely but certainly are good enough to cover a few of the top tourist places. The transit visa move is not the first time that Kazakhstan government is pushing forward to make traveling to the country easier for Indians. Last year, they simplified the visa process by cutting down the paperwork and processing time thus bringing it down to mere 2 days, which once used to be almost 2 weeks. It is also speculated that Kazakh airlines will get more slots at IGI Airport Delhi.

With simplified visa rules and a welcoming government, Kazakhstan-India ties are certainly headed in a profound direction. More travel on the cards?
